What if I told you that there’s no Espresso Sessions° without Lane 8. His sound and fans are what inspired this journey. June 3rd, Forest Hills Stadium, Queens, NY—changed my life.
Since we’re in Daniel’s (Lane 8’s) city, it’d be foolish to not include This Never Happened vibes. What a way to start your weekend and gather with friends (or make new friends). But the Joanie Loves Music community goes beyond that—it’s more than just one sound, one vibe.
To make it easy to spread the word about Espresso Sessions°, I introduced the idea as a series of house music gatherings. So what the hell does that even mean? Beatport, Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud each categorize songs slightly differently. At a high level, I’m all about Melodic, Deep, and Afro House—and some particular Progressive House, Organic House, Dance/Electro Pop, Electronica, Indie Dance, Minimal/Downtempo, with a mild touch of Techno and Tech House. Picture bopping from Mykonos in the summer to Aspen in the winter. If the tracks in my playlists resonate with you, then you're in the right place.
